Freight Planning Specialist, Abu Dhabi

Supervise the formulations of the strategic plans, objectives and programs for the Freight Division based on DoT’s overall Strategic Plan
- Perform the general functions of the Surface Transport Sector that include any forms of facilitation, research and benchmarking
- Supervise the Goods movement planning initiatives to fulfill the DoT strategic plan.
- Oversee the development of Abu Dhabi regional freight flows, customer markets and intermodal requirements in support of the planning initiatives and studies.
- Oversee the development of a long term Abu Dhabi regional goods movement plans.
- Review the research and analysis on the regional goods movement issues
- Coordinate with the public and private entities as well as industry stake holders on the Abu Dhabi freight planning initiatives.
- Review all reports prepared by members of the Freight Planning Section and submit them to the Section Head – Freight Planning
- Knowledge of Freight models
- Knowledge of Goods movements
- Knowledge of Supply chains and freight intermodal issues
- Knowledge of Environmental & Regulations issues concerning freight
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree or equivalent
- A minimum of 6– 9 years of relevant experience
